The Mac-A-Cheek Foundation for the Humanities, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization providing outdoor events & exhibits, programs, publications, and public tours of Piatt Castle Mac-A-Cheek, one mile east of West Liberty, is seeking part-time volunteers in these areas:
Archive Research & Management,
Buildings and Grounds Maintenance, Gardening, Event and Program Assistance, Ticketing, Gift, or Membership Sales.

UYC seeking volunteers interested in supporting young people

Urbana Youth Center is looking for community members interested in volunteering!

Need volunteers that want to make a difference in a young person's life. If you want to be a part of something that will change your community and give students hope, this is for you.

Ages 21 to 101.

We serve grades 6 thru 12.
Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
Shifts:
Opt. One:
2 PM to 8 PM

Opt. Two: 2 PM to 5:30 PM
Opt. Three: 6 PM to 8 PM
Beginning January 3rd, 2023

We need volunteers, they give us HOPE to stay open which means HOPE for the student's future & the capabilities of the Urbana Youth Center.

You will be doing one or more of the following:
Supervising, engaging, and caring for young people.

Volunteers Needed for Mechanicsburg Habitat House Build

Village of Mechanicsburg Ohio
Habitat is building our second home in Mechanicsburg at 141 E. Race Street.  We are in need of volunteers to assist with the build on every Saturday beginning at 8 a.m., breaking for a lunch we provide, and working until 2 p.m.  Of course volunteers are free to leave when necessary.
​
No open toes shoes are allowed on the build site. Only those 18 and older may build on a Habitat site.    We are thankful for any volunteers.   Contact Marica Ward at 937-657-6782 or email at mbwfreshfaith@outlook.com  We are currently putting sheeting on the roof in preparation for roofing.

Junior Achievement Volunteers Needed

Junior Achievement of Mad River Region
Junior Achievement of the Mad River Region serves students in Clark, Madison, Champaign, and Logan counties. They offer classes from Kindergarten through 12th grade in the areas of  Financial Literacy, Work & Career Readiness, Soft Skills, and Entrepreneurship. All of programmings meets State Standards and are FREE to educators, schools, after-school programs, and more!
Junior Achievement has the following opportunities for Champaign County:
  • Graham- Kindergarten classes. There are 2 openings to teach JA OURSELVES at Graham. The classes are 5 sessions, each about 30 minutes. They can do the 2 classes back to back and use only one volunteer if the volunteer is willing to do both classes.
  • Graham- First grade classes. There are 2 openings to teach JA OUR FAMILIES at Graham. The classes are 5 sessions, each about 30 minutes. They can do the 2 classes back to back and use only one volunteer if the volunteer is willing to do both classes.
  • Graham- 4th grade. JA OUR REGION JA in a DAY.  This is a ONE DAY opportunity on May 20th. They need 4 volunteers for this day. Lunch will be provided.
  • WL-S- 4th grade. JA OUR REGION JA in one Week. There are 4 openings for JA in one Week at West Liberty Salem. Volunteers go in for a week, Mon-Fri in May to teach the classes, which are 45 minutes in length and are scheduled the same time each day. The specific dates and times will be worked out with the teachers.

Donnelsville, Fulton Elementary School, Graham Local Schools, London City Schools, Lagonda, Kenwood Elementary, Norwood Elementary, Perrin Woods Elementary School, Risen Christ Lutheran Springfield-Ohio, Rolling Hills Elementary School, Snowhill Elementary School, Shawnee High School, Urbana, and West Liberty Salem.

Who makes a good volunteer? Business owners, employees, parents, grandparents, those who stay at home or work from home. Anyone with a passion to help young people learn about finances, financial literacy, work & career readiness, and entrepreneurship.

What's provided? All the materials and training are provided.
