Introduces self and the nutrition services department during all customer encounters including but not limited to telephone conversations and resident interactions. Communicates clearly and appropriately with all customers, including but not limited to, coworkers, patients, visitors and volunteers. Demonstrates professionalism, a positive attitude and teamwork in all aspects of the job. Attend and participate in in service training programs and meetings within the department and the facility. Ensure all food items are prepared according to department policies, planned menus, diet orders and standardized recipes within the designated time frames. Ensures all food is displayed and served in an attractive manner in accordance with guidelines as monitored by customers and staff feedback. Complete daily and weekly cleaning of area walls, floors and equipment in accordance with established guidelines. Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Ensure items are appropriately stocked in assigned areas based on established job routine. Assist in food production for special functions as directed. Complete all necessary opening and closing processes per established policy and procedures as monitored by supervisor and staff feedback. Participate in/assist with department projects as assigned.
