Lead or Assistant Teacher

Center For Creative Childcare in Urbana is seeking applicants for full-time Lead or Assistant Teacher.

Center for creative childcare is a preschool and childcare center designed to provide stimulating and hands on early care and educational experiences which promote each child's social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

***FREE Childcare for Employee's Children*** Must be available to work an 8 hour shift Monday- Friday. Must love working with kids! Candidates should be reliable and a team player.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Plan and submit weekly lesson plans in accordance with curriculum objectives and developmentally appropriate practice
• Provide a stimulating and cognitively engaging classroom environment
• Develop and follow a daily routine that incorporates good early childhood practices
• Provide appropriate supervision for all children at all times
• Understand and use positive behavior techniques

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a background check
• Previous experience in childcare is preferred but not required

• Teacher's child attends at no cost (2.5 - 5 years, & School age during summer months only)

Hourly: $9.30-$13.00/hour
