Location: Urbana, OH Shift: 2nd shift Summary: Maintenance technicians will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair equipment failures, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.
Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
Perform work order repairs.
Able to set-up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, scissors lift, and articulating boom.
Participates in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
Maintain 6S standards in the plant.
Support the Rittal Production System through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
Knowledge & Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate preferred.
Two years' experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
Ability to write detailed repair reports and good verbal communication.
Prior experience and use of basic Microsoft Office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
