Champaign County DJFS is seeking an experienced individual who is passionate, empathetic, non-judgmental, and organized to join our team as a Social Services Supervisor I.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services field. Master’s degree preferred. Two or more years of experience as a Social Services Worker II or equivalent, two or more years of experience in the areas of Child or Adult Protective Services, two or more years of quality assurance/case review experience for Child or Adult Protective Services, or individuals who are Adoption Assessors.
CLASSIFICATION: Social Services Supervisor I, Pay Range 10A - $20.93 to $28.12 per hour based on experience
DUTIES: The primary purpose of the Social Service Supervisor 1 is to directly supervise Social Service Workers and/or other professional social services personnel, for program areas of child protective services, adult protective services, and supportive services. The position is responsible for quality assurance functions, as well as interpreting, clarifying and recommending changes to procedures, policies, regulations, and laws pertaining to social services, and serves on internal and external committees which deal with social services issues. Must rotate coverage for after-hours with co-supervisors.
