OktoberFest celebrating 50 years

Celebrating our 50th Year, this OktoberFest promises a day of fun for the entire family!

​Join in the fun on Sunday, October 2nd from 10 AM - 4 PM at the Champaign County Historical Society Museum located at 809 E. Lawn Ave., in Urbana. Admission is $3 per person, CASH ONLY at the gate. 

Live Entertainment:

• 1:00-1:30     Triad High School Marching Band
• 1:30-2:30     Tom Kushmaul

The museum will be open to explore and the grounds will be full of crafters and artists selling hand thrown pottery, candles, wreaths, holiday décor, pumpkins, fairy garden accessories, hypertufa pots, woodcrafts, scented oils, handmade quilts, jewelry and lots more! There will be games for the children and pumpkins to decorate. Food choices will include corn dogs, funnel cakes, chicken tenders, fried Oreos, pretzel bites, hot dogs, BBQ ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken, nachos and tacos.

​As a special treat, Schmidt’s Restaurant from German Village, Columbus will be offering Bahama Mammas, knockwurst, German bologna, German potato salad, kraut, sweet red cabbage, pork or chicken brats and their famous jumbo cream puffs! No OktoberFest is complete without beer – and we will have a beer trailer offering a variety of your favorites!

OktoberFest is the largest fundraiser for the Historical Society and the proceeds fund over half of each year's operating budget.
