Urbana Champaign County Senior Center is now hiring an Administrative Assistant to work part-time (25-32 hrs.-weekly)!
The purpose of an Administrative Assistant is to record and maintain all transactions of the trips, classes, activities, memberships, etc. of the Urbana Champaign County Senior Center as well as other duties as assigned.
Sustain memberships (new and renewal)
Create welcome bags for new memberships
Maintain My Senior Center
Issue my senior center cards to members
Input, maintain, and change member information
Maintain/Record mailing lists, donations, memorials, monthly activity sheets, current board member information
Promote, receive and record payments for all trips, classes, memberships, specials, etc.
Correspond with Urbana Daily Citizens for “Senior Corner”
Assist with special events: Palm Sunday Brunch, Senior Day, Fair, Annual Meetings, picnics, etc.
Maintain vendor records
Assist with Tuesday Lunch
Correspond with outside providers for Lunch menus
Assist with any set-up or tear-down of any event
Other duties as assigned
Record keeping skills
Able to multitask
Work closely with co-workers
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 plus years in administrative work preferred
Reports To: Executive Director
