The Training/ HR Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all required training is according to regulations in all environments, as well as agency policy and any other regulatory requirements. He/she will conduct training and provide information about available training opportunities in conjunction with the Training Coordinator.

The HR Manager will assist in recruitment and selection of staff, maintain audits of personnel files keeping all required records current, and update the Human Resource Information System with current information. This position supervises the HR Specialist and will oversee the day-to-day functions as needed. Oversees the maintenance of the Human Resources Information System. Assists with review, development and execution of policies and procedures, and assists managers and supervisors with Human Resources Issues.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES/DUTIES: * Performs searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, INTERNET RECRUITING RESOURCES, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals to effectively fill positions * Prepare or maintain EMPLOYMENT RECORDS related to hiring, termination, promotions, and other human resources documents * Utilize SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS FOR SOURCING both passive and active candidates * Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills * Coordinate and conduct presentations at career fairs and technical schools * Establish and maintain relationships with area educational facilities. Attends various recruiting events * Develop and maintain metrics on RECRUITING efforts and results * Measure performance to gauge the success of programs * Maintain TRAINING RECORDS, manuals, new hire evaluations, and training documentation * Develops RELATIONSHIPS WITH UNIVERSITIES TO SUPPORT RECRUITING * Maintains current knowledge of various HR laws, practices, procedures, and trends * Performs other related duties as required and assigned KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: * High School Diploma or GED required * Minimum of 2-YEARS OF RECRUITING EXPERIENCE preferably in a manufacturing setting * Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of all Microsoft products. * Working knowledge of HRIS system (i.e., SAP HR, JAZZHR) * Must be able to work on 3RD-SHIFT TWO-DAYS A WEEK
