Position Responsibilities:
Installation of floor carpet, trim, molding, treadplate back walls, cab ICC lights, steps, interior step lights, grab handles, roof panels, command lights, & wiring harnesses. Cutting & welding floor trim/diamond plate floor. Drill, prepare and paint holes for headlight housings. Operate a press brake and cutting shear. Display responsible behaviors including attendance & punctuality, attention to detail & following directions. Open to change (positive or negative) & diverse perspectives. Work cooperatively with others to complete job assignments & resolve conflicts. Plan & prioritize work to manage time effectively & accomplish assigned tasks. Demonstrate a willingness to work and a commitment to effective job performance Make & install interior panels. Build A/C hose kit assemblies ensuring proper crimping and QA verification. Install various components throughout cab including: harnesses, brake valves, pedal assembly, bulkheads, headlight housings, warning lights, condensers and RV air units. Required Skills and Experience: Ability to read & understand assembly & part drawings. Mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience in safely operating power tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc.). Detail oriented with a drive for quality work output. Must be able to accurately read a tape measure. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Sustained holding up to 40 lbs overhead for (5-15) minutes during installation of cab components. Consistent walking and standing. Must be able to kneel, squat, stoop, bend, twist, pull, push, and reach. Frequent gripping, medium to fine dexterity (small wires, nuts, and bolts). Must be able to safely use step ladders or truck installed climbing systems to gain access to upper areas of trucks. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in fluctuating temperatures.
