The Ultra-met Company is a leading independent manufacturer of tungsten carbide products for fabricators and tool makers that will be used in a wide range of industries such as the automotive, aerospace, medical, petroleum, and woodworking industries. Our products primarily consist of cutting tools and wear products. The manufacturing process involves making tungsten carbide powder, pressing, forming, sintering, and grinding operations. We are a locally owned, privately held, long-term growth-oriented company.
The IT Manager will be the liaison between Ultra-met/offsite US-based IT service providers, and manage the tasks associated with onsite support.
Provide Level 1 help desk support to on-site and remote employees.
Point of Contact for the MSP regarding data backup, infrastructure, and cybersecurity
Manage the company's network and telecommunications systems (VOIP, Cellular, and ISP providers)
Monitor all software contracts.
Lead all cyber security training initiatives.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware and software.
3+ years of experience in Level 1 help desk support
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
5+ years of experience in IT management
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with network and telecommunications systems
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
Ability to stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends.
