Quality Technician

Rittal is hiring a full-time Quality Technician in Urbana, Ohio.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring product quality and communicating quality metrics and inspection results to the appropriate parties.
• Ensure that product meets drawings and other design requirements
• Participate in regular meetings as requested.
• Collecting and Formatting Data
• Verify "Productive Part Approval Process" (PPAP) when requested, on new or revised parts to determine if they meet Rittal's quality level and conform to the order specifications of the purchase order.
• Audit materials processes
• Complete administrative functions as requested by Supervisor
• Ensure that work area is kept neat and clean by complying to Rittal's 6S standards.
• Work in safe manner and comply with all health, safety, security, and emergency requirements.
• Communicate any safety hazards or potential hazards to a member of Management
• Maintain good attendance and work ethic.

 Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• (1) year quality experience required
• Basic Knowledge in the use of standard measurement devices and equipment, such as tape measure, calipers, scales.
• Ability to document inspection results in the recommended format.
• Basic computer skills to include MS Office and SAP.
• Must be able to understand and follow quality procedures - Scrap, rework, FAI, etc.
• Be willing to participate in different training modules towards advancing knowledge bas in the quality field.
• Good Communication skills to effectively influence and recommend acceptance criteria and corrective actions.
