The Village of North Lewisburg consists of 1600+ residents and is located in the Northeast Corner of Champaign County with a current operating budget of $1.4M.
The Village Government consists of a Mayor, 6 Council Members, Budgeted staff of 6 full time and 4 part time employees.
The candidate should have excellent leadership and communication skills and knowledge of Municipal Operations and Regulations, Municipal Finance, Contracts and Budgeting, Human Resources, Computer Skills, Zoning, Water/Sewer Facilities and Operations and the ability to work in a team environment.
The Administrator is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Village of North Lewisburg, which include the Water/Sewer Operations and Utility and Billing systems, Roads/Streets, Buildings, Finance, Zoning and Planning. The Administrator may draft and recommend Ordinances, Resolutions, Policies and Procedures as deemed necessary for the safe, economical and efficient operation of the Village. The Administrator shall represent the Mayor and Village Council on various Board and Committee appointments.
BA/BS is preferred or similar 5 year municipal management experience is required.
